A group of miscellaneous photos from the Jones Library, The Lynchburg News, Victor Wood, and other private sources are also available now. New, by request, many Church Street photos. Wanted! More photos! Do you have an old scrapbook or shoebox full of photos taken of early Lynchburg? I'm looking for any photos, drawings or maps of anything in the area. I am more interested in places rather than baby pictures, but sometimes there's something interesting in the background of a "people" picture. Please contact me if you have or know of any such pictures. I'd love to see them and to add them to my "virtual" photo archive. (You may keep the photos; I need only to copy them.)

PLEASE NOTE: Much of this site is unfinished. I have been scanning thousands of photographs to add to the site. Many of them are available in the PHOTOS section now. More will be put online soon.

I challenge everyone who has ever eaten at one of Lynchburg's oldest fast-food establishments to identify this location. You see it every day if you're downtown, but these buildings are gone (except for the one on the left in the lower photo).
