Photographs taken by Victor Langley Wood between 1905 and 1955. Wood grew up in Elon, Virginia (Amherst County) and, from an early age, recorded the people and events around him. The everyday images contained in this collection span 50 years and several states, but many are of Elon and Lynchburg, where he started working at age 18 for Wiley & Wilson.
